Yoshiko Sai’s Entire Discography to Be Released on Long-Awaited Colored Vinyl!

Yoshiko Sai, one of Japan’s most iconic singers of the 1970s, is set to have her entire catalog reissued on limited-edition colored vinyl! Following the sold-out 2021 reissues of her classic albums, this highly anticipated collection is finally coming to life in response to overwhelming demand.

Her first album in 30 years! After releasing Chō no Sumu Heya in 1978, Sai took a long hiatus, stating, "I won’t return until I create a song I’m satisfied with." Now, after three decades, she presents an enchanting and mesmerizing new world of sound. Supported by renowned artists such as Seiichi Yamamoto, Takeharu Hayakawa, Yasuyuki Yoshigaki, JOJO Hiroshige, and Hiroaki Katayama, with Shinji Shibayama from Nagisa Ni Te also participating, this album showcases a deeply refined and seductive Sai Yoshiko.

As always, the album cover features Sai’s own illustrations, and the vinyl color represents the boundless sands of Taklamakan—an endless desert landscape.

Whenever I read the comments on my albums in English, Spanish, Chinese, as well as Japanese through Internet, I feel they are all standing by me.

Thank you everybody, and I am very happy to know that my works have transcended time and place, and reached many people.(Yoshiko Sai)
